~  Introduction The nuclear conflict between Iran and the United States is often interpreted through the narrow lens of weapons proliferation and diplomatic breakdown. However, a deeper historical analysis shows that it is the outcome of a long transformation that began in cooperation and evolved into strategic hostility.
